Oderay was born and raised in Lima, Perú and moved to Florida in 2007. She is a well-rounded professional with experience working in Higher Education and corporate settings. Her professional background includes experience working as an L&D coordinator for Fanatics, Inc., leading train-the-trainer workshops, and working at the University of Louisville. At Louisville, she played an instrumental role in the campus-wide implementation of WorkdayHR, ensuring the university complied with guidelines in creating accessible Workday job aids and supported creating high-quality instructional videos for the entire campus.
Oderay loves creating and finding ways to make digital media and instruction fun. She delights in engaging in the design thinking process to develop ingenious interactive learning experiences that ‘contribute to effectiveness, efficiency, and ease of learning’ (Stefaniak, 2024). Oderay is proficient in developing deliverables for hybrid, asynchronous, blended synchronous, and in-person instruction following up-to-date UDL guidelines.
Oderay will earn her M.Ed. in Learning, Design, and Technology from the University of Georgia in the Summer of 2025. Future goals include developing bilingual curricula and interactive designs for the Higher Ed and Not-for-profit sectors, as well as researching gamification, interactive storylines, and the impact of AR/VR on the brain. In her free time, Oderay loves spending time outdoors and riding horses. She enjoys a good salsa night and singing.
