Graduate Research Center (GRC)
The Graduate Research Center provides Baylor graduate students and faculty with resources designed to support and inspire them in their academic endeavors. The GRC may be accessed from the second-floor corridor between Moody Memorial and Jesse H. Jones libraries and through the second floor of W. R. Poage Library.
(Note: the exterior doors to Poage Library lock at 5:00 pm M-F and are not accessible via card swipe after business hours. Re-entry to the GRC is only available via the Moody-Jones corridor after regular business hours.)
In addition to providing collaborative and individual spaces that foster inquiry and analysis, the GRC also provides a space for programming throughout the year that addresses specific graduate student interests and needs. These events are hosted by Baylor Libraries and on-campus partners, including the Graduate Writing Center and the Graduate Student Association.
There are six GRC PODs designated for small groups, up to 8 people, that can be reserved online. Select rooms feature a 60" or 80" screen with Barco ClickShare presentation systems. ClickShare devices can be found in the main hallway of the GRC. These rooms are great for group work and small meetings. The PODs are considered Individual Study Spaces and the expectation is the PODs will generally be quiet. Light, quiet, passing conversation is allowed.

The Pattie Orr Graduate Research Commons is the largest study area in the GRC. It offers a variety of different work environments including lighted tables, soft seating, marker boards, and flexible furnishings that enable graduate students to create the best configuration for their research needs. The POGRC is considered an Active Study Space.
The POGRC is intended for a mix of group and individual study. Flexible furnishings make it possible for groups to gather and conduct projects while establishing a reasonable sound threshold so that those studying nearby are not disrupted in a way that makes concentration impossible. Those who prefer quieter spaces should opt for an Individual Study Zone, such as the GRC PODs.
The Lounge and Break Room are located outside of the Research Commons near POD B and feature kitchen implements (refrigerator and microwave), comfortable seating, and an inviting atmosphere.
Lockers
Eighty-eight lockers are available for graduate student and faculty use and are located just outside of the Pattie Orr Graduate Research Commons. To reserve a locker, please email Charles Howard (Charles_Howard1@baylor.edu).
