Who are we?
The Arts and Special Collections Research Center is an integrated unit that supports the research and teaching goals of Baylor University through outreach, education, curating, preserving, providing access to collections, and teaching how to successfully engage with these creative and unique collections.
Located on the 3rd floor of Moody Memorial Library, the Arts and Special Collections Research Center (Arts Center) offers resources and spaces to support your interest in the arts (music, art, theater, performance) and in all disciplines with rare and special collections. This exciting blend of materials is your creative hub for inspiration, critical analysis, performance, and new scholarship. Our team is ready to partner with you to help get your work started!
Visiting
The Arts Center is open to all members of the Baylor community and the general public. See Moody Library hours. The general collection is open for browsing and check-out. If you are interested in looking our special or unique items, you will need to schedule a visit.
Spaces
Reading Room
The Arts Center Reading Room is available for individual study, research visits, and classes organized by Arts Center personnel.
Moody 311 Creative Lab
The Moody 311 Creative Lab is a specialized instructional technology center for music applications. The Lab is located near the public service desk in the Arts and Special Collections Research Center.
Instructional Rooms
There are two instructional spaces in the Center, both of which are used for class meetings. Moody 304 is near the Service Desk and Seminar Room 1 is on the other side of the floor.
Wireless access is available throughout the building for the Baylor community. Guest access is available.
