Use Our Facility
The Armstrong Browning Library, especially the striking McLean Foyer of Meditation on the main floor, is the site of numerous university events. These functions vary in nature from lectures, conferences, concerts, and recitals to portraits and weddings.
The Cox Reception Hall on the ground floor, surrounded by the beauty of six stained glass windows, is often the setting for small receptions, luncheons, or formal dinners. The Lewis-Birkhead Lecture Hall and the Mary Armstrong Seminar Room, also on the ground floor, are convenient locations for small meetings or class discussions. Please see the Room Descriptions page for more detailed information about room capacities and capabilities.
We are always happy to open the Library for university-related functions; however, the nature and purpose of the Armstrong Browning Library requires that a certain amount of care be exercised during these events. For the security of the building and the protection of its holdings, library personnel must be present for all scheduled events. The Library receives many requests throughout the year; therefore, staff availability is a consideration in determining approval of a request. We reserve the right to determine when space is available and whether the function is appropriate for the building.
For specific guidelines regarding use by Baylor student organizations or Baylor departments, please see the Room Reservations page.
