Data & Digital Scholarship
The mission of the Baylor Libraries’ Data & Digital Scholarship program is to integrate digital research tools and techniques into campus research and curricula. We serve as an interdisciplinary hub for students, faculty, and staff, assisting with data-intensive research and all aspects of digital scholarship. We have a special emphasis on open-access tools, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the development of digital and data literacy skills across campus.
Core Services
Research Data Management: Assistance with the organization, storage, and preservation of research data, creating data management plans (DMPs) for grants, and best practices across the research data lifecycle.
Survey Design: Guidance on crafting effective survey questions, structuring surveys, and general best practices for gathering effective data from surveys.
Data Analysis: Support for the full analytical process, from cleaning data to conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses.
Text Data Mining: Parse and structure text to identify patterns, topics, and trends.
Geospatial Analysis: Analyze location-based data with GIS tools to understand spatial relationships and patterns.
AI Research Support: Assistance with leveraging machine learning and generative AI models to automate and enhance your research workflow.
Data Visualization: Represent data visually to explore datasets, tell a story, or create interactive dashboards.
