Institute for Oral History Partnership with the UAE National Library and Archives
We are thrilled to announce the launch of a dynamic two-year partnership between Baylor University's Institute for Oral History (IOH) and the UAE National Library and Archives (NLA). This exciting collaboration brings together two institutions united by a shared commitment to preserving cultural heritage and promoting the exchange of knowledge across borders.
Over the next two years, we will work closely with the NLA to help enhance the practice of oral history in the UAE, share best practices, and discuss methods to ensure the preservation of the country’s rich history for generations to come. Through this collaboration, we will make the voices of the UAE’s past and present more accessible to a wider international audience, supporting Baylor’s mission to connect education with global service and engagement.
Together, Baylor and the NLA will build a lasting legacy of cultural preservation, bridging knowledge and creating new opportunities for global learning. This partnership embodies the very spirit of Baylor University’s commitment to Pro Mundo, which is rooted in promoting cross-cultural understanding and empowering communities worldwide through education, collaboration, and the sharing of knowledge. We are excited to embark on this journey of mutual growth and exploration, knowing that this partnership will leave a positive, lasting impact on both institutions and the global community.
