Meet the Dean
Dean of University Libraries, Museums, and the Press
Welcome to the Baylor Libraries!
On June 1, 2020, I began my tenure as Dean of the Baylor University Libraries, and on June 1, 2023, I became Dean of University Libraries, Museums, and the Press. I am glad to be at Baylor and to engage in the work we are doing to support Illuminate and the university's aspirations to grow as a premiere Christian Research 1 university.
As you can see on my LinkedIn profile, I have served in research libraries in New York (SUNY Albany), Chicago (The University of Chicago), and Montreal, Canada (McGill University). In the course of my career, I have been a bibliographer in the areas of Business and Economics and have worked for many years in the area of user services in academic libraries. My professional involvements include the Academic Business Library Directors Association and the American Library Association. I also participated in the Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians at Harvard University (2018-2019).
The Baylor Libraries have many incredible resources to offer to our students, faculty, and other researchers around the globe. I invite you to explore this site and discover the wonderful people who serve with the Libraries, our robust research tools, our innovative makerspace, our digital scholarship initiatives, and much more. If you are on-campus in the fall, come and enjoy Starbucks in the foyer of Moody Memorial Library, experience in-person technology assistance at HelpDesk+ on the garden level of Moody, and visit the University Writing Center on Moody's second floor.
If you would like to visit with me personally, please contact Janell Wellbaum and she will find space on my calendar. I look forward to getting to continuing to develop collaborative partnerships that support and enhance learning, research, and teaching, and nurture a robust academic community.
