Bethany McLemore Stewart holds a doctorate and master’s in historical musicology from The University of Texas at Austin, where she researched 19th-century women in popular music performance. She’s held positions in administration and event planning, in musicology research and teaching at Baylor & UT, and as a copy editor for artists and scholars. She is currently the Program Associate for the Oral History Association, which is now headquartered at Baylor’s Institute for Oral History. On January 1, Stewart will transition from her role with the Oral History Association to become the Music Liaison Librarian for the Baylor Libraries.
