Joy Rho

Joy joined the Makerspace team in August of 2025. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University and is a registered architect in Texas. Before joining the Makerspace team, Joy worked for 15 years in various architecture firms and non-profit environments, leading projects from schematic design to construction completion. She has experience in residential, office, and institutional architecture, and particularly enjoys collaborating with different disciplines and construction contractors.

As the Makerspace Coordinator, Joy works closely with students, faculty, and staff to provide support for their courses, personal projects, and explorations, while ensuring efficient operation of the Makerspace. She is passionate about exploring the design process with the community and innovating through collaboration and experiential learning.
