Misty Thornton

Misty Thornton is the Visitor Services and Membership Manager at Baylor University’s Mayborn Museum, where she oversees the museum’s membership program, visitor services and database operations. In this role, she manages visitor services and membership services to ensure exceptional customer service and a welcoming, positive museum experience, prepares financial and data reports, and oversees deposits, and collaborates closely with Baylor University’s Gift Accounting Office to ensure accurate financial and donor records. She also serves on several museum committees, contributing to strategic initiatives and organizational success.

Since joining the Mayborn Museum in 2004, Misty has held a variety of positions, giving her extensive knowledge of the museum’s operations and a strong commitment to enhancing the visitor and member experience.

Outside of work, Misty enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandson. Together, they enjoy the rodeo lifestyle and spend much of their free time attending and participating in rodeo events.
