Patricia Adkins

Patricia Adkins joined the Mayborn Museum in August 2025 as Visitor Services Coordinator, bringing more than 15 years of experience in hospitality, tourism, and guest services. 

After graduating from Texas Tech University in 2010, her career has taken her around the world, with positions at hotels, hostels, lodges, and resorts in Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica, Alaska, Montana, and Cape Cod. Most recently, she worked in reservations at Kennicott Glacier Lodge in Wrangell–St. Elias National Park, where she helped create memorable experiences for visitors in one of America's most spectacular natural settings.

At the Mayborn Museum, Patricia combines her passion for exceptional guest service with proficiency in financial reporting and administrative duties. She helps support the museum's front-desk student employees, assists with school group visits, and collaborates across departments to create a welcoming and engaging experience for every visitor. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering in the Waco community, hiking, and traveling. She believes that great museums, like great destinations, inspire curiosity, connection, and discovery.
