Rhonda Kessling has spent more than 25 years teaching art history and archaeology in higher education. Her scholarship in the field was recognized with the 2006 Fulbright Award to the American Academy of Classical Studies in Athens, Greece.
She holds a B.A. in French and Art History from Wayne State University, an M.A. in Ancient Art from Michigan State University, and a completed A.B.D. in Ancient Art at Case Western Reserve University before turning her attention to instructional design.
With an M.A.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, specializing in Instructional Design and Technology, from Virginia Tech, Rhonda has spent nearly two decades teaching and mentoring in the online space, helping faculty navigate the ever-changing landscape of digital learning. Her work has taken her from Michigan State University and Ferris State University, where she partnered with faculty to build effective online and hybrid courses, to Baylor University, where she has served as a Learning Experience Designer since November 2024.
Rhonda is a Quality Matters Master Reviewer, holding certifications in the Peer Reviewer Course and Applying the QM Rubric, and brings a steady focus on educational quality to every course. Her current research interests center on AI in education — a fitting new chapter for someone who has spent a career helping others adapt to change.
