Thomas is the Special Collections Processing Archivist at the W. R. Poage Legislative Library. He joined the Poage team in April 2019 and has worked primarily with the congressional collections of Bob Poage and Joe Barton.
Thomas graduated with a Bachelor’s in History from Messiah College in 2009 and a Master’s in History at Baylor University in 2012. In 2011, he interned at the Texas Collection and found his calling as an archivist. He served as an Archival Assistant, Project Archivist, and Library Information Specialist during his time at the Texas Collection (2011-2013, 2016-2019).
Thomas met his wife Rachel when they both interned as graduate students at The Texas Collection. They have been married since 2013 and have a mischievous cat named Thorin. Thomas attends Calvary Baptist Church in Waco.
