Abby Gamble is a Senior Learning Experience Designer within Library and Academic Technology Services. She has supported intersections of technology with teaching and learning in higher education for over 10 years. Her work in the online learning space is guided by a passion for preserving faculty authorship and autonomy while ensuring meaningful, high-caliber experiences for learners.
Prior to joining the Learning Design team, she served as the instructional designer for Baylor’s Online MBA and oversaw all aspects of faculty support and training. In this role, she gained a holistic understanding of program administration, from the admissions funnel to the online learning experience to retention, through to alumni relations.
Abby has presented topics such as online on-demand training for faculty and an innovative design for ‘live’ discussions in an asynchronous online program. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Texas Distance Learning Association and is a member of OLC’s Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning.
She and her husband are hopeless DIYer’s and find themselves drawn to tackling major projects on a routine basis. When not renovating, they love spending time with their family; preferably accompanied by delicious food and good music.
