Charles Howard
Library Facilities Coordinator

Charles Howard started working at Baylor Libraries in December 2014 as the overnight security guard and now serves as the Library Facilities Coordinator for the Moody and Jones Libraries and the W. R. Poage Legislative Library. In his position, Charles oversees the overall appearance of the Libraries, ensures that everything runs as it should and checks for any facilities that may need repairs or replacements. Additionally, Charles manages the locking systems, scheduling for room reservations and serves as a liaison for other Libraries facilities.
Prior to joining the Baylor Libraries team, Charles served in the Navy and spent 12 years working in law enforcement for the McLennan County Sheriff’s Department, Waco Police Department and SWAT. Charles has also previously served as a youth pastor and has been the head pastor at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship Church in Chalk Bluff, Texas for the past 15 years. Charles earned a bachelor’s in theology from Summit Bible College. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his church congregation, his wife and their four kids.
