Experience
Sylvia moved into her role as Archivist in March 2019. She works with archival collections across campus, primarily at The Texas Collection, but recently at Moody and Jones Special Collections and the W. R. Poage Legislative Library. Previously, Sylvia was a processing archivist at The Texas Collection and Poage Library. She was also the first Operations Manager of the Graduate Research Center where she oversaw daily operations, established policies and procedures for the space and its users, and processed archival collections for Poage Library.
As a student at the University of Pittsburgh, Sylvia worked as a student assistant Archives and Special Collections processing materials in the Archives of Scientific Philosophy. She also worked as an assistant at the Magee-Womens Hospital Medical Library fulfilling research requests and processing the hospital archive.
