Mentimeter Pro Licenses Available for Checkout Via HelpDesk+ Site

March 22, 2021

Baylor faculty, students, and staff may now check out a limited number of Mentimeter pro licenses through HelpDesk+ thanks to an agreement secured through the University Libraries. Mentimeter is “an interactive presentation platform that transforms presentations, meetings, and lectures by turning passive audiences into engage contributors,” according to its website.

The pro licenses expand the capabilities of a free Mentimeter account to include more robust features such as the ability to export and analyze poll results. More information on Mentimeter pro and steps for how to checkout license are available on the Mentimeter page on the HelpDesk+ website.

John Lowe, assistant director for Learning Systems in Libraries and Academic Technology Services (LATS), notes that many users will see a great deal of utility in a standard Mentimeter account, but the pro account “may be particularly helpful for faculty and graduate students as they lead classroom discussions.

“If you’re already using Mentimeter on a free account, be sure to change the email address associated with the account to your Baylor email before you request access to a pro license,” Lowe added. “Otherwise, you won’t have full access to your old data in the new pro setting.”

The Mentimeter pro licenses are part of a suite of software solutions available to the Baylor community thanks to agreements secured by LATS to support research and scholarship. To learn more about LATS, visit their website.
